The police subordinate inspector (dogs) attached to the Highs Ground police station was suspended after he allegedly released the suspect without a question.
The police detained the suspect on a special drive and brought him to the station for questions. The accused officer who was at the station allegedly released him without doing any investigation or gathering any documentation from him.
The incident came to light when higher officials returned from a special ride and asked to find out that the suspect had already been released. The matter was announced by the Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) and the problem was escalated by the Commissioners. Dogs, which accepted strong objections to his alleged behavior, was suspended due to the remuneration of duties and was ordered to investigate (DE) department (DE).
This is the sixth policeman who was suspended last week. The Inspectors of the Gate Koramangala and Halasur have been suspended among the five police staff due to the accusation of corruption and the incorrectness of the duty recently.
