How did the Zateen Garg die?
Zateen Garg died during a diving diving accident in Singapore on Friday, September 19, 2025. His fatal remains reached Assam on a commercial flight on Sunday morning.
Mint previously reported that the main Minister Assam, Histant Bisw Sarma, revealed that the Singapore High Commission had sent a dental certificate of Zateen Garg, which mentions “drowning” as an official cause of demise.

The Zateen Garg was in Singapore at the Northeast India festival, and allegedly died after suffering problems with breathing during diving.
