Satya Kumar Yadav, Minister for Health, started on Sunday (September 28, 2025) as part of the nationwide campaign “Namo Vanam” the “EK Ped Maa K Naam” initiative as part of the nationwide campaign “Namo Vanam” led by Prime Minister Narendra Modim at Chiranjeevi Reddy College in Anantapur.
The Minister said that the main objective of the program is to encourage citizens to plant a tree in the name of the mother and that this initiative would significantly support environmental protection and social responsibility.
Later, he spoke to the media, the Minister emphasized the ecological and social importance of tree plantation. He said that the tree would raise and protect one as a mother and offer shadow, fruit and shelter.
Mr. Yadav said that tree plantations, free medical camps and blood donation programs are performed as part of the ongoing national units and will continue until October 2.
Officials from various government authorities, public, voluntary organizations and cadres from coalition parties participated in the event.
