Russell Marion Nelson, the eldest president of the Church of Jesus Christ of the last days, died on Saturday evening (September 27). He was 101 years old.
Nelson died in his home in Salt Lake City, spokesman for Candice Madsen was quoted Associated Press.

Russell M. Nelson was born on September 9, 1924 and was an American religious leader and surgeon who became 17.
He joined religion in young adulthood.
Nelson allegedly spent four decades at the highest level of the management of the Church after being selected in 1984 to join the highest church control body called the quorum of twelve apostles.
