The Godavari River continued to float on Saturday evening just above the first flood warning stamp in 43 feet in the temple town.
Strong drainage of water from the pre -tanks has led to an increase in water levels in Godavari, which flows through the temple cities of Basar, Dharmapuri, Kaleshware and Bhadrachalam in the state in the last 48 hours.
The water level of the river in the Bhadrachalam remained on Saturday at 8 pm at 8 pm by several notches over 43 feet and on Saturday at 8 pm.
Strong rains in the basin along the boundary of the telangana-chhattisgarh pushed the water level in the Taliper River, the tributary of Godavari, in Charle Mandal of the Bhadrachalama agency.
Up to 20 Taliper reservoirs in Charle Mandal were lifted on Saturday to release excess water.
