The President of the Congress Committee of Keral Pradesh (KPCC) and MLA Sunny Joseph demanded immediate registration of the case and arrest spokesman Bharatiya Janat (BJP), who issued the threat of death against the leader of Rahul Gandhi.
“Is it shocking that despite the threat of death against the opposition leader, the Keral domestic department did not take the matter seriously. Will BJP the national and state leadership will raise the courage to exclude the representatives that made this threat?” Mr. Sunny Joseph asked.
He said that Mr. Gandhi is a leader who has committed himself to protect the secular substance and unity of the nation, and one who tirelessly fights for the problems of people inside and outside the parliament. “Rahul Gandhi has taken a bold attitude against manipulation with the list of national BJP voters. It is not possible to face politically his thoughts, BJP is now trying to physically eliminate him,” Joseph accused.
He added that Congress, a movement that sacrificed countless lives for Indian freedom, secularism and democracy will never be intimidated by these threats. “Rahul Gandhi stands in the line of leaders who gave their lives as the cause of the nation. He will not be silenced,” Joseph said.
