Minister of Agriculture Union Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the installment was specially preferred for farmers in three countries that were seriously affected by recent floods and landslides.
The Union’s government accelerated the release of 21. The Minister of Agriculture Union Shivraj Singh Chouhan distributed approximately 27 Lakh farmers on Friday (September 26, 2025).
Mr. Chouhan said that the installment was specially preferred for farmers in three countries that were seriously affected by recent floods and landslides. “A total of more than 540 GBP Crore were directly transferred to bank accounts of more than 27 Lakh farmers, including approximately 2.7 lakh female farmers, across three states. The aim of this support is to provide early relief to farmers when they work on recovery from recent calamities.”
He added that 2,000 GBPs will help farmers meet the immediate household needs, obtain seeds and fertilizers for the next sowing cycle and restore their trust to continue cultivation. He said it was assurance that the government took care of every farmer and that no one would remain in their fight against natural adversity.
The Center also announced aid measures, including the financial aid of 1,500 GBP Crore, 1,600 GBP Crore and 1,200 GBP Crore for Himachal Pradesh, Pandjab and Uttarakhand, respectively and Ex Gratia for families of the deceased and injured.
“With this issue, the cumulative payout under Kisan has exceeded 13,626 Crore since the start of the system 24 February 2019,” Union said.
