Indian Captain Harmanpreet Kaur cut off the tremors outside the field around the upcoming clash of the Asia Cup of his team with Pakistan and insisted that the focus remains firmly on the cricket.
India is ready to face the arches of Pakistan in Colombo 5. October, an accessory that often provokes a debate beyond the border. The recent Male Cup in Asia, in the UAE, has witnessed several heated moments with animated celebrations and verbal exchanges, but Harmanpreet said that such things would not enter the dressing room of her team.
“Well, we can only control one thing that plays cricket on the pitch and we don’t think about other things. Because as crickets we can control the things we have in our hands. But in other parts, but I don’t have zero control in other parts, and I don’t even take these things to my mind.
The Indian captain admitted that on the part there are high expectations before the ODI World Cup at home, starting with September 30 in Guwahati, but stressed that this opportunity should be used rather than feeling pressure.
“I think the management of your country is always a very special moment for every player, but the leadership of your country at the ODI World Championship is even more strange and it is a home championship, so it’s even more strange,” Harmanpreet said.
“I think it’s incredible, because, you know when I started playing, I never thought I’d get the opportunity to lead my country, it was just in a dream. The World Odi Cup is happening after 12 years (at home) and I think it will be for all of us.
England NAT SCIVER-BRUNT, which will balance the double responsibility of the captain and Lead of the dough, admitted that she was still learning to juggle both roles, but said she developed ways to separate tab and guidance requirements.
“I’V Sort of Learnt to Compartmentalise Different Parts of the Game. I Think When You Go Out There As A Batter, You’re Really Trying to Focus on the Ball That’s Coming Down. You start Thinking and Lot More About the Game.
Captains of Pakistan (Fatima Sana), Sri Lanka (Chamari Athapath), South Africa (Laura Wolvaardt) and Bangladesh (Nigar Sultana Jotti) joined the press online. Sri Lanka Skipper Athapathththu said her party would include the Underdog brand in the tournament opener against the hosts of India 30. September in Guwahati.
“They are very good players. I know they are playing at home, so we go there as a little pitch. But in the past we have defeated them several times in Asia Cup and then in series, so it’s all about playing well on that day,” Athapaththu said.
