
Inter Miami and former midfielder FC Barcelona Sergio Busquets retire at the end of 2025 Major League Soccer Season, thus overtaking the curtain to one of the most decorated careers in modern football. A 37 -year -old man confirmed the news on social media and said he was proud and grateful that he had lived a dream of almost two -year career.
Since his arrival in Miami in 2023, Busquets has been the central figure in the rise of the club and met with Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba and Luis Suez to lead the Inter by 2023 Leagues Cup and 2024 supporters. When he is preparing for his last section, Busquets is determined to push the team to the first MLS Cup.

Busquets spent 18 years in Barcelona, graduated from the club’s famous Academy on the Senior Party under Pep Guardiola in 2008. He continued with 722 and collected 34 trophies including nine La Liga titles, Seven Copa del Reys and three champions. It also holds the record for the most appearances of El Clasico (48) in club history.
On the international scene, the Spaniard earned 143 caps and anchored the center of the field during the Spanish Golden Era, which helped to secure the World Championship in 2010 and Euro 2012. He praised his tactical intelligence and the ability to control the pace, created one of the most famous football med -martial football with Xavi and Andres Iniest.
After leaving international football in 2022, Busquets moved to the United States, where he expanded his legacy with Inter Miami. During two seasons he remained the middle field general and provided leadership and consistency at the dusk of his career.
