Kannada Development Authority wrote representatives of the main Minister DK Shivakumar, suggesting that it is better to call the greater authority of Bengaluru (GBA) as “Bruhat Bengalur Pradhikar” to protect Kannada Pride.
In a letter to Mr. Shivakumar, the chairman of Kda Purushotham Bilimale welcomed his call to the general public to propose a suitable name to Kannada for greater authority of Bengalur as “democratic”.
Mr. Bilimale said that in response to such challenges there are several proposals from the general public, and the general consensus is that it is better to deal with this body as “Bruhat Bengaluru Pradhikar”. Even KDA preferred this name, because it would be a long way to respect Pride Kannada and also accepted the GBA Kannadigas, he said.
He called on Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds a Bengalurus portfolio to order the authorities to rename the GBA as Bruhat Bengalur Pradhikar.
