Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former Minister of irrigation T. Harish Rao on Wednesday came down hard on the leader of Congress, including the main Minister A. Revanth Reddy and accused them of damaging the rights to the water of Telangana.
Mr. Rao, who refuted the notes of the Minister of irrigation N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, said Mr. Uttam Kumar and Mr. Revant Reddy made contradictory statements that showed their ignorance and political compromises.
He noted that the lack of clarity to water rights on water Krishna would weaken his case before the tribunal of Krishna Water Dissates Tribunal (KWDT). “While Utta Kumar Reddy previously spoke of 763 TMC FT, Revanth Reddy was looking for a blanket” No Certificate of Objection “by Andhra Pradesh for 500 TMC FT, and later said that the legitimate share of the state is 904 TMC,” he pointed out.
He also refuted the accusation that the BRS government agreed to the ratio of 299: 512 TMC FT between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. “That’s absolutely bad,” he said, calling on the ruling party to prove his claim that BRS had signed such an agreement and offered to resign if it was proven. He also dared to resign if they failed to prove their accusation.
