It demanded the regularization of the services of contracting workers in hostels operated by various departments and the implementation of revised minimum wages and on Wednesday it was demonstrated by Dharwad in Dharwad.
The performance of the protest under the auspices of Karnataka Rajya Samyukt Vasati Nilaya Karmicar Sangha associated with the Aiutuc, in front of the Commissioner’s deputy, hostel staff demanded the abolition of the agency system in the districts and instead of the community formation.
The President of the Gangadhar Badiger district unit, who addressed the protesters, urged the state government to announce the revised minimum wages without further delay.
“Outsourcing agencies are cheating on employees by not applying legally required benefits, such as eight -hour workload, PF, ESI, holidays and other facilities. Although the state government announced the establishment of multi -purpose cooperative companies in the districts and the Minister of Labor said he said.
The protest was led by Vice President Aiutuc Bhuvan Ballari, Shainaz Hudedmani, Gangamma Naganayak, Kusuma Veerkar, Geeta Bommannavar and others.
The memorandum addressed to the main minister was submitted to the district bodies asking for the resolution of the district level.
In the memorandum, hostel staff called on the state government to provide basic infrastructure in ESI hospital in Hubball, events against eing suppliers, appointment of at least 11 cook employees in all residential schools and universities began after 2017 and timely meetings of officials at the district level.
