Hyderabad’s Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) concluded an agreement with the non -profit organization Assistance to Foundation (HHF) to extend patient care and support services.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MO) formalizes the ongoing cooperation between the two institutions in the provision of Helpdesk services to help poor and disadvantaged patients looking for treatment in a state healthcare facility.
As part of the arrangement, HHF will operate six helpdesků in the hospital, two in an emergency block and one in the millennium block, an old OPD block and a special block. Six trained advisors will be occupied to provide navigation support, helping patients to complete ABHA registration in the Ayushman Bharat digital mission and lead them in access to the relevant departments.
In addition, a specialized advisor was placed in the emergency department to help patients transfer to Aarogyasri and facilitate requests for financial assistance through health and central government health systems. To further improve coordination, a specialized help line (83093-48682) was set up for the recommendation between the hospital and to the separation of patient assistance.
