The front for the eradication of the inviolability of Tamil Nadu, the Union of Agricultural Staff All India and All India Democratic Association of Women on Monday organized a protest against the construction of the “inviolability of the wall” in the village of Kovilpath in the district.
The organization claimed that the public road used by the planned residents of Kasta 14 was blocked by the construction of the wall by the private owner of Selvamani Nagar. The protesters urged the authorities to remove the wall and restore access to the road.
The demonstration held in front of the Valangaiman Tahsildar office was led by district leaders K. Murali (TNUEF), K. Tamilmani (Aiwu) and G. Kalaichelvi (Aidwa) and recorded the participation of the national secretary R. Kalaichelvi, CPI (m) of the State Committee IV Nagarajan.
Previously, the rally was discarded from a gasoline bunk near Tahsildar to the Tahsildar office.
The sources said the protesters dispersed after the officials assured them that the peace meeting, which chair the income division and the involvement of all parties involved, will be convened within one week to solve the problem.
