The authorities have placed drones and security cameras to monitor key places during Dasara Utsavams in Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devastanam. Officials will also use artificial intelligence (AI) to supervise the rush in the lines of the queue and in the temple.
Foundation, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC), Police, Revenue, AP Transco, State State of Reaction to Disaster (SDRF), Medical and Health and other departments will monitor the situation continuously, the officials said.
“More than 500 CCTV cameras were associated with a model guesthouse, from where the team of officers reviews the rush at the peak of Indrakeeladri, reviews the traffic situation at bus and railway stations, queues and other points,” said the district collector G. Lakshmisha.
CCTV was installed at Pandit Nezru (PNBS), railway stations, Indrakeeladri, MG Road (Bandar Road), Eluru Road, parking spaces, grip and other main intersections.
Approximately 40 drones are pushed into service that will be disturbed at the top of Indrakeeladri to monitor the line of queues from the Vinayaka Temple after Durg Malleswara Swamyvarla Devastanam and other places.
About 5,000 police workers, including IPS officers, other police superintendents (ASP), police representatives (DSP), circular inspectors, SIS and others were deployed for bandobust, the police said.
“The police will supervise safety through drones and tracking cameras. About 10,000 CCTVs are used 40 drones to review security from time to time from time to check the command and model of the guesthouse,” said Police Commissioner SV Rajaskekar Babu.
