MEP for Mysur Yaduveer Krishhnadatt Chamaraja Wadiyar questioned the transfer of the government of the congress to the “hastily” conducting socio economic and educational survey, also known as CASTE CENSUS, in the state.
Yadveer, who dealt with a press conference here on Sunday, said that the census to start from 22 September is coincidenting with Dasar’s festival, when people are busy traveling and officials tied up festival duties.
“Will it be possible to get accurate data?” He asked and stressed that the earlier exercise performed by the Karnataka State Committee for Back Class, led by Kantharaj at the price of 190 Crore, was thrown away.
He also called on the State Government to review whether it was necessary to carry out a fresh caste census at the price of 440 GBP, when the center is expected to accept a similar caste survey together with the general census.
Mr. Yadveer pointed out the need to accept other developmental works, including the filling of potholes, and stated that the state government should seriously think about conducting a fresh caste by spending such huge amounts.
Mr. Yadveer also questioned the appropriate central leadership of the Congress Party, which refused the earlier caste census. The inhabitants of the state elected the State Government headed by the main Minister Siddaramaiaha and any decision on the rejection of the census should be adopted by the elected government, and not the party leader, he said.
Referring to the statement of Mr Siddarahaiaha, after the decision to refuse the previous census that the new survey will be modeled on the lines of the census conducted by the Theangana government, Mr. Yaduveer wondered if the main minister had confidence in the census in the cash register.
In the upcoming survey, Mr. Yadveer repeated his opposition to the creation of “artificial” substalles. He said that this matter has already been warned by Governor Thaawwareand Gehlot.
He suspected that this step could be focused on the division of the Hindu society.
