
KERALA COOPERATIVE MILK Marketing Federation (MILMA) announced a reduction in the maximum retail prices (MRP) of its dairy products with added value introduction of the new tax and services tax regime (GST) since Monday 22 September).
One liter of Ghee Milma will see a decline of 45 GBP, while the price has immersion from 720 to 675 GBP. The price of the 500 ml variant drops from 370 to 345 GBP, reflecting a reduction in 25 GBP. This price reduction is attributed to GST to Ghee from 12% to 5%.
Similarly, the price of Milma’s butter is set by 15 ₹, its MRP will change from 240 to 225 ₹. The cost of the 500 GM PANEER package will be reduced by 11 GBP, which will reduce them from 245 to 234 GBP, because GST on PANEER has been completely exempt, eliminating the previous 5% tax.
In the dessert category, a liter of Milma’s Vanilla ice cream will now stand 196, 24 ₹ less than the previous MRP 220 GBP, due to the reduction of GST from 18% to 5%.
With these modifications, the prices of Ghee, butter and Pireer will decrease by approximately 7%, while ice creams will be cheaper by approximately 12%to 13%, said Milma KS Mani. The determination of the milk cooperative to its customers is evident in its proactive approach with the full benefits of GST cuts to consumers, Mr. Mani added.
Furthermore, GST on a flavored milk drops from 12% to 5% and a long life with a long life from 5% to zero. In addition, the GST mix to Payasam will drop from 18% to 5%, Milma said.
