Mrs. Murali, a former revenue assistant (RDO) from Madanapalle, was arrested on Friday in her residence Tirupati after the local court refused his action on bail. Murali was accused of deliberately burning key revenue records in the office of Madanapalle sub-customers, originally the Supreme Court was awarded bail. Between October 2022 and February 2024 he worked as RDO.
The incident occurred 21 July 2024, shortly after the change of government in the state, when the main fire destroyed the fundamental income documents related to land transactions. The crime investigation (CID) investigating the case concluded that the fire was a deliberate attempt to destroy evidence. After the abolition of their bail on Thursday, CID officials took Muralle to custody in Tirupati.
