A total of 61.48 GBP Lakh was included in one year in the event that the waste garbage reports the public through the WhatsApp number (9446700800) established by the local department. The remuneration of 1.29 GBP Lakh was also provided to people who provided information about accurate evidence. The environment was started at 63 incidents.
The total fine imposed for waste dumping last year is 11.01 crore, with 5.58% of the fines imposed on the basis of complaints received at WhatsApp. The Minister of Local MB Rajesh said that the initiative provided public alertness and monitoring in activities with waste disposal.
Accurate information
Of the total number of 12,265 complaints obtained through the WhatsApp number, 7,912 had accurate information. Of these, measures were taken in 7,362 complaints. In complaints that had no information about the people who fired the garbage, the complaint was resolved by removing waste from the area. Other measures are carried out in the remaining 550 complaints. The highest number of violations was reported via WhatsApp from Thiruvananthapuram (2,100) and Ernakulam (2 028) districts. The least was reported from Wayanad District (155).
