
On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an interview with the Prime Minister of Nepal’s temporary government Sushil Karki.
During the protest of the gene in Nepal, he expressed sincere condolences to recent tragic losses on life in Nepal and reaffirmed the unwavering support of India for its efforts to restore peace and stability in the country.
In his post for X, PM Modi, he wrote: “He had a warm interview with Mrs. Sushila Karki, Prime Minister of the Provisional Government of Nepal. I brought sincere condolences of recent tragic loss of lives and reaffirmed Indian persistent support for its efforts to restore peace and stability.
Who is Sushil Karki?
Karki, the first female judge in Nepal, and now the first prime minister, is supported by a movement led by a gene that has changed the country’s political landscape in the last few days.
She was born on June 7, 1952 in Biratnagar.
The oldest of the seven siblings began her legal career in 1979 after the end of legal education in Biratnagar. In 2007 she became the head of the lawyer.

In January 2009 she was appointed as ad-hoc judge of the Supreme Court and in 2010 she became a permanent judge.
The 73 -year -old former chief judge of Nepal was officially sworn as a temporary prime minister on Friday. It will serve until March 5, 2026, after which new elections will be held, and the newly elected parliament will be selected by the new Prime Minister.
Its appointment was followed by extensive protests on September 8, leading mainly youth activists Gen Z, who were driven by increasing anger over corruption, lack of responsibility and dissatisfaction with the political leadership of the country. The immediate trigger of the riots was the ban on government on social media.
The houses of several political leaders, important government buildings, business facilities and shopping complexes were ignited during the violent protests of 8 and 9 September, which overthrew the government led by KP Shamou Oli.
Meanwhile, normalness returned to Kathmand with an improved safety situation. The movement of pedestrians and vehicles was observed in the middle on the streets of the capital as usual.
On Sunday, Karki announced that those who were killed during the protest of the gene of 8 and 9 September would be declared “martyrs”.
