As the southwestern monsoon pulls, the Indian meteorological department (IMD), Bengalur, said that after 15 October, the northeast monsoon is expected to keep its normal date.
IMD, Bengaluru, CS Director Patil said that the northeast monsoon, as well as southwestern monsoon, is expected to be normal this year. “The southern interior of Karnataka will receive heavy rains, while the northern interior of Karnataka and Coast Karnataka will not be,” he said.
The monsoon season is between October and December and brings rain to southern Indian countries, including parts of Karnataka.
The southwest monsoon arrived this year earlier than usual. During this key monsoon season, Karnataka received 786 mm compared to normal 675.6 mm from 1 June to September 1, but some districts showed insufficient precipitation. According to seasonal cumulative data about IMD precipitation, 16% of the rain was left during this period.
However, Mr. Patil said that the rain is expected in the next few days in Karnataka. In Bengalur, while the maximum temperature remained normal at 26.8 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature on Wednesday recorded 1.1 degrees Celsius at 21.1 ° C. It is expected that the forecast for the next few days for the city will generally be overcast with light rain.
