
As part of the involvement in the community, the Commissioner of Bengalur was designed by Central City Corporation P. Rajendra Cholan Weekly WalKathy including residents and students along with monthly cultural events of the vehicle movement on the Gandhi Bazaar road.
On Tuesday, Mr. Cholan checked Gandhi’s Bazaar and ordered the removal of interventions from the sidewalks, created pedestrian sidewalks, eliminated black spots susceptible to accidents, cleaned unauthorized overhead cables, and planted seedlings along the roads. He called on officials to raise awareness among traders about scientific waste management and set out specific zones for street sellers.
Mr. Cholan pointed out that the Gandhi Bazaar Road has already been identified by the marked sales stations. Sellers are obliged to limit their operations to these designated sections and fail to face a strict action. He also ordered officials to ensure that pedestrian journeys were without parked vehicles.
Mr. Cholan, who emphasized the readiness of infrastructure, noted that the multi -level parking equipment of cars built as part of the Smart City project in Gandhi Bazaar is now complete. The structure, which includes 50 commercial shops and space for 124 vehicles, is equipped with modern equipment. Preparations for his inauguration will start soon, he added.
He ordered officials to prepare a comprehensive feasibility report to transform Sunkenahalli Ward into a model department.
