The Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s AFC Champions League 2 began disappointing when they suffered 1-0 on Tuesday at AHAL FK in AHAL FK in Group C at the Salt Lake stadium.

The defense, however, looked shaky all the time, often raised pressure by sitting too deep. The absence of Manvir Singh was also felt in the attack, with the wing of the team lacking penetration and the tip.
A hard way forward
Jose Molina Side is now facing a strict test in his next group C Outsing against Iranian heavy weight Sepahan away from home 21 October. With qualifying hopes, Mohun Bagan will have to tighten defensive and be much more clinical if they are to bounce back.
For a party that brought a lot of expectations aimed at the Continental campaign, this defeat serves as a wake -up call that improvement is urgently required.
