Government policy is not to get patients who are recipients of various free medical schemes, buy medical equipment or accessories or implants when looking for treatment in public hospitals and is the responsibility of health institutions to ensure that patients do not pay for equipment or medicines, Minister Veen George.
Mr George said that patients in various recipients programs should be provided with all treatment without costs, while in other patients, equipment, etc. would be provided at a subsidized rate.
During an hour of questions, the opposition decided to focus on the situation in Medical College (MCHS) hospitals, which came out after a viral Facebook post with the head of Urology in Thiruvananthapuram MCH that patients had to buy equipment for surgery/procedures because the HDS company did not have the equipment.
Questions were brought up by AP Anilkucar, IC Balakrishnan, Saneeshkumar Joseph and Cr Mahesh.
However, the Minister of Health decided to respond to the questions by describing the free medical care in detail, which the government provided for people, with infrastructure amendments carried out in hospitals and how the various government interventions in the Kerale medical sector increased the foot of government hospitals.
She also decided to clean up the question asked by Mr. Anilkumar on the Crore 1,500 GBP, which the government owed to hospitals like Karunya arrogya Surraksha Padhathi (KASP), which will soon be released, which will soon be cleaned.
Satheesan hits back
