The state government added 155 healthcare services offered in government hospitals as part of its policy, according to the note on the press of the medical department on Monday 15 September. This supplement includes common procedures such as hystectomy, appendectomy and enthry. With these new services, the total number of treatment offered within politics in government hospitals throughout the state is 324.
Currently 197 medical services provided within the Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva – which are rarely used by recipients – will continue to be offered free of confidence. These rare services include procedures such as removal of thymus and the excision of the first part of the small intestine (duodenum).
Minister of Health, Medical Education and Family Care Satya Kumar Yadav on Monday reviewed the services of the previously offered Trust and their reorganization within the new policy. Officials explained that during the term of office of the previous government, the total number of services offered through confidence was inflated. Similar treatment with the same packages were listed separately, which led to a reported total of 3,257 services.
Within the new policy, such such services were consolidated into wider categories, which reduces the number of services to 186. For example, treatment for dengue fever, typhoid and parata – which had the same procedures – were previously listed and are now grouped in a single category of “fever”. A total of 319 similar services were reorganized to 133 categories, as recommended by a team of doctors. With the exception of 324 services reserved for government hospitals and 197 rare services, the remaining 2,736 services were streamlined into 2,550 categories. Payments for these 2,550 services will be made through an insurance company selected to implement a new system.
The premium costs payable to the insurance company depend on the number of services included, as a larger number of services increase the costs due to preliminary authorization and administrative expenditure. Reorganization of services to wider categories is expected to reduce such costs.
