Cyberabad Civic Association is stepping up hygiene and enforcing a ‘No Bin No Trade’ policy.

Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G. Srijana held a review meeting on Wednesday, June 10 and directed officials to strengthen sanitation management in all departments with a focus on accountability, regular monitoring and timely compliance of sanitation related activities.

During the meeting, the officials were instructed to ensure the daily operation of Swachh Auto Tippers (SAT) Autos and identify the sanitation workers who remained absent for a long period of time. They were also directed to promptly submit daily fine reports in accordance with government regulations. The commissioner emphasized on strict implementation of the ‘No Bin No Trade’ policy.

The commissioner further directed officials to conduct joint inspections with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) in all departments. The zonal commissioners have been directed to complete ward coverage by the end of June. She also called for the effective introduction of four-way waste sorting including dry waste, wet waste, sanitary waste and special care waste.

During the review meeting, the Commissioner elaborated on the provisions of the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules and emphasized the need for strict adherence to the prescribed waste management regulations, responsibilities and procedures by all field level functionaries.
