The 46 -year -old Lakdikapulu residents, Hyderabad, which was lured by the Instagram reel, which promises quick profits through stock trading, has lost almost 9.7 ₹ Lakh for fraudsters operating a false business application.
According to an officer from Hyderabad Cybercrinis Wing, Man 19th August came across a reel supporting an application called Nomura, which claimed to offer considerable financial revenues. “He contacted the displayed number and was added to the WhatsApp Group, where a woman who became a non -iyyer, led by step by step. He trusted the process, invested a total of 9 65 400 GBP through the application,” the officer said.
The platform seemed convincing and showed inflated profits of 27.51 400 GBP. However, when he tried to withdraw the money, his account was blocked. The fraudsters then demanded another £ 18 lakh to release funds. At this stage, he realized that he was connected and proceeded to the police with computer crime, which registered this case as an online financial fraud.
