The Chief Minister ordered legal experts to submit detailed records of all projects of established, proposed or leaving the incomplete in United Andhra Pradesh, along with the relevant GOS, notes and official documents before the tribunal. “For decades, Telangana has suffered injustice in Krishna’s allocation. This is our opportunity to remedy crimes and secure every drop for us,” he said.
Officials reported the main minister that the previous government agreed with only 299 TMC for Telangan and effectively gave up 512 TMC Andhra Pradesh, a position that now quotes AP before the tribunal. Mr. Revant Reddy condemned the former main Minister K. Chandrashekar Raa for what he called “unforgivable betrayal”, accused the BRS regime of the management in the key irrigation projects of Limbo, such as Palamuru – Rangareddy Schem and Dindi.
The main minister also claimed that Andhra Pradesh illegally diverted Krishna Waters before Srisailam reached the full level and released up to 10 TMC FTs daily through Puhiredypad and Rayalaseem Lift Scheme. The water is transferred to other basins through the Pattiseema, Pulichintal and Chintalapad channels. “Such diversions are crippling hydroelectric production in Srisailam, Nagarjunasagar and Pulichintala,” he said.
The main minister said Thelangana has every legal right to demand its appropriate share of Krishna Waters to meet the needs of drinking, irrigation and hearing, especially in the districts of drought such as Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy and Nalgond. He said that the tribunal should be reminded that Telangana could not use his share due to failure to complete key projects.
