The Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Hamas’s leaders in Qatar prevent the ceasefire efforts and prolong the conflict in Gaza.
In a post on the Social Media X Netanyahu platform, he said that these Hamas leaders are pulling the war infinitely and avoiding the release of the hostage. His post read: “Terrorist chiefs of Hamas living in Qatar do not care about people in Gaza. They blocked all attempts at a ceasefire to endlessly pull out the war. Relief would get rid of the main obstacles to release all our hostages and ending.”
Netanyahu’s remarks come when Israel repeatedly criticized Qatar for hosting the best Hamas leaders, according to Israel’s times.
This week, Netanyahu drew the parallels between the Israeli campaign against Hamas’s leaders in Qatar and the US response to September 11, 2001, attacks. In the video report, he said that Israel would act against Hamas’s leaders “anywhere where they are”, if Katar did not force them or handed them to court, noted Israel’s times.
Netanyahu said, “Bring them to justice, because if you don’t do that, we’ll be.”
Qatar’s answer
Katar rejected Netanyahu’s earlier claims as “ruthless” and pointed out that hosting Hamas’s leaders was part of an internationally supported mediation efforts about the US and Israel.
After Netanyahu’s remark about Qatar hosting Hamas Leaders, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement that condemns his comments. “Netanyahu is fully aware that hosting the Hamas office took place within Katar’s mediation efforts for the required United States and Israel,” said the statement.
“The negotiations have always been held in an official and transparent way, with international support and in the presence of American and Israeli delegations. Netanyahu’s induction that Qatar secretly covers the Hamas delegation is a desperate attempt to justify the crime convicted by the world,” he added.
On Tuesday, Israel carried out an air section in Doha, which focused on the meeting of the leading Hamas, which was supposed to discuss a new design and hostage in Gaza.
