A young man suspected of killing US President Donald Trump, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was taken into custody on the University campus Utah Valley in Orem on Friday.
The accused was identified as 22 -year -old Tyler Robinson. He confessed to a family friend or “indicated that he had committed murder”. This friend later informed the Sheriff Office in Washington on Thursday.
The Governor of Utah Spencer Cox said on Friday, “We got him.”
Was Tyler Robinson Democrat
Or Republican?
According to Social media speculation, Robinson was a Republican voter.
Officials, however, revealed that Robinson became more political over the days, but did not reveal the political affiliation of the suspect.
Governor Cox said that a member of the family with whom the investigators asked, said Robinson had recently become a more political Ao Kirk.
What do we know so far
31 -year -old Kirk was shot in his throat on September 10 when he spoke at an outdoor student event in front of the crowd more than 3,000 on Utah Valley University in Orem, about 64 kilometers south of Salt Lake City.
He was declared dead in the local hospital.
Robinson was taken into custody on Thursday evening, about 33 hours after Kirk’s murder, said FBI director Kash Patel at a press conference.
Patel said that more than 11,000 potential customers brought rapid FBI pressure on public aid in two days.
“The arrest is proof of the determination of good enforcement of the right and strength of our partnership,” he said.
On Thursday, the FBI renewed what they believed that a high -performance rifle was used to kill Kirka and published photographs of the interest person.
Investigators spoke to Robinson’s roommates, who showed them that Robinson had made a cottage and the Discord streaming platform, discussed to load the rifle from the point of the drop, and then left the rifle in the bushes packed in a towel. This corresponded to the description of the weapon that the authorities recovered after shooting.
Governor Cox described a fatal attack as a “basin” in American history and referred to the 1968 political violence.
“The question is what kind of basin,” he said.
“It’s certainly about tragic death, assassination, political assassination of Charlie Kirk, but it’s also much greater than an attack on the individual, it’s an attack on all of us,” said Cox, who called on death in the event of death.
Cox added that speculation about writing found on the scene on the scene was correct and investigators revised these brands as part of the case.
