The inheritance set by universal compulsory primary education since 1921 under the justice and various programs of consecutive governments then ensured that Tamil produced 20% of Indian graduates, Minister of Information Technology and Digital Services, Thiago Rajan, Bunk of Rajan, said in Chennai.
Inaugurating the Professional Development Conference and Exposition 2025 Organized by the International Tamil Engineers Forum (ITEF), Mr. Rajan Said Tamil Nadu’s Journey to the Forefront of Terrtary Education Was Built on This Legacy, and Continuing Innovations, Like the Expansion of the Noon Meal Scheme, Providing Protein in the Noon Meal, Providing Free Uniforms, Cycles, Laptops, and Footwear Entering some form tertiary education.
“Especially in mechanical engineering and art and sciences, Tamil produces about 20% of Indian graduates, although there are less than 6% of the Indian population. It is the backbone of our growth, our ability to earn on globalization, investment in production, and IT services,” he added.
