Bharatiya Janata (BJP) started the main off-road initiative that will strengthen its presence between the Christian community, especially in Central Travancore, launched with the Back-to-Back elections, which will strengthen its presence between the Christian community.
As part of this effort, the party convened a meeting of its social terrain cells in Kottayam on Wednesday to discuss and complete the organizational plan of this communication exercise. The meeting was attended by five Christian leaders from each of the organizational districts of BJP in Kerala.
Shone George, vice president of the state vice -president BJP, said that the cell would focus on the party’s attitude to questions that affect Christians in Kerala, including the EWS problem, alleged attacks on Christian missionaries and the dispute over Munammam.
“Circulation with all communities, including Christians, will be extended to a local level before the upcoming elections. Committees will be created at the level of the assembly and Panchayat to allow it,” he said.
Mr. George said that the party was already in regular communication with the leaders of various church denominations in the state.
The official sources said that this step came from the knowledge that BJP would try to penetrate in Kerala, especially in Central Travancore, without spying Christian voices.
“The existing five -member field committees at the district level will be extended to 30 -member committees. For this purpose, a special fund has been assigned and off -road cells can raise funds after accounting and verification with state consulting,” the party leader said.
The leading parties also assigned specific tasks to maintain close ties with leaders every denomination, they added.
Previously, BJP tried to build a base among Catholics by emphasizing the concerns some of the clergy members raised about the alleged threats of other communities, including “Love Jihad”. However, the recent arrest of two Catholic nuns in Chhattisgarh and attacks on the priest and nuns in Odisha, however, tense these ties.
