The Indian Army successfully performed SIYOM Prague from 8 to 10 September 2025, which is the main field exercise aimed at verifying the employment of drones technology in modern tactical operations.
According to a higher defense official, this exercise took place under realistic conditions on the battlefield and marked a “significant step in operational readiness” by integrating unmanned air systems across tactical and operational depths. The drones were employed for persistent supervision, battlefield survey, target gaining and precise blows, which underlines their role in increasing the efficiency of fighting.

The central focus of the exercise was the development and validation of new tactics, techniques and procedures for the future battlefield. These were methods of insurance of intelligence derived from drones with conventional firepower, refining the processes of joint targeting and ensuring rapid decision -making in a dynamic combat environment. The exercise emphasized the importance of adaptability and synergy between traditional combat weapons and emerging technological activators, the official added.
The results of the exercise are expected to provide lessons for operational integration, concepts of employment and multiplication of strength. Even more importantly, she showed the determination of the army to use technology as a decisive factor in ensuring operational superiority.
Siyom Prague exercises reflected the proactive approach of the Indian army to adapt to the modern war and its emphasis on the future.
