
The Kozhikode Municipal Police have launched a comprehensive review of the ongoing investigation of recently exposed cases of trading in synthetic drugs concerning foreigners. The head of the District Police (Kozhikode City) T. Narayanan recently chaired the revision meeting at the level of the districts to assess the progress of the probe after the arrest of several Nigerian citizens who were suspected of key roles in national and international drug agreements.
According to police sources, digital evidence has already gathered from mobile phones, platforms for sending messages and banks in detecting operating methods of suspects, and those who secretly work in the network. Investigators have confirmed that the evidence will help them determine the scope of the network and identify more suspects.
Officers with the Anti-Narcotik team said they launched a probe into a suspicious involvement of a larger rocket of drug distribution with alleged ties to foreign nationals working in different Indian countries. Preliminary findings suggest that the suspects have set up operational bases in cities outside Kerala, where they coordinate distribution, they said.
“Local drug pressures with international connections are suspicious of playing a key role in encouraging these foreign nationals to supply narcotic substances in Kerala and neighboring countries. Records of some local drug buttons arrested in context of drug trafficking have already confirmed this.” He added that the state group at the state level has already forced some of the Kingpins behind such international and international networks.
The special action forces officer at the level of narcotic level at the district level stated that some support data for subsequent investigations on suspicion that foreign nationals living in India have already been collected from the Regional Office for the registration of foreigners. He said that the data were searched mainly for monitoring their movement patterns, visa status and potential connection with criminal activities with the support of various national and international investigations.

Police sources said that digital and financial trails led to the identification of two Nigerian nationals and their placement in Haryana and Delhi. The local police were acting on another tip from the Kozhikod Municipal Police and attacked the “drug kitchen” in Grrabogram, which led to the arrest of eight people-six Nigerians, Nepal and a native of Mizoram. The coercive group also acquired 1.60 kg of “sulfa”, known as the sniffing of the drug, 904 grams of cocaine and 2.34 kg of raw cocaine, with an estimated value of 1 GBP crore.
