Rain in Kerala: Yellow alert for five districts on June 10
The Southwest Monsoon, which has been lashing the state for the past few days, is likely to remain muted in the coming days as westerly winds weaken. A yellow alert has been issued for five districts including Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode and Malappuram on Wednesday (June 10, 2026) where isolated heavy rain is likely.
According to a weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday, a cyclonic upper air circulation is lying over north interior Karnataka and districts between 4.5 and 5.8 km above mean sea level. Under the influence of the system, parts of Kerala will receive light spells of rain for the next four days.
