The collector of the district of Kadapa Sridhar Cherkuri denied the accusation of a lack of urea in the district and announced that 12,800 metric tons were available on various Rythu Seva Kendras (RSKS).
Counseling found that some farmers resorted to panic accumulation of urea to meet their future requirements, while some use it in excessive amounts focused on higher yields. He advised farmers to ensure reasonable use of urea on their farms, said that one or one and half of the urea is sufficient for the acre farms, as determined by scientists of agriculture. He found that farmers use two to three acre bags, which not only leads to a shortage, but also causing health risks.
Mr. Sridhar also pointed to some farmers who accumulated urea more than needed, creating an artificial shortage. A collector who depicted urea as part of nitrogen in the soil called farmers to use multiple forms of fertilizers available on the market in accordance with their requirements. “Over the past three days, we have delivered 1300 metric tons of fertilizers,” we postponed the rumors of a shortage.
