Commissioner Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) Puli Srinivasulu on Tuesday (September 9, 2025) ordered officials officials to remove interventions on the main roads, margins and discharge on war characters and ensure that such violations would not appear.
The Commissioner visited the taste of the center, Nandivevugu Road, Yadav Bazaar, Balaji Nagar, Budonamad and the surrounding area to check for development work and hygienic problems. He issued officials instructions on immediate corrective measures on the basis of complaints received.
During the Inspection in Tasteugunto Center and Nandivelugu Road, he noticed the intervention on the road and ordered their quick removal. Traders were instructed to carry out their business strictly behind the drains and not on the main passages.
In Balaja Nagar and Yadav Bazaar, he examined complaints related to poor hygiene and found blocked drains. The sanitary inspectors were ordered to immediately clean the blockages. He observed that some sections of roads in Balaja Nagar were at a lower level, asked officials to prepare estimates for new roads CC and drains. Later he visited Budampad to check the newly built CC and drains.
On this occasion, Mr. Srinivasul said that the development work in the city had proceeded faster and ordered engineering officials to carefully monitor the terrain level to ensure quality standards. He stressed that all complaints related to basic equipment should be resolved within the set time frame. He also ordered the Secretariat of the Department to segregate the awareness among the inhabitants to wet and dry waste before passing it to hygienic workers.
