The Minister of the Municipal Administration and Development (Ma & UD) P. Narayan said on Monday (September 8, 2025) that 60 % of the transfer of anantapur waste was completed and the whole waste will be cleaned by 2 October this year.
Mr. Narayana looked at the landfill along with Anantapur Urban Mla Daggupati Venkateswara Prasad and reviewed progress. On this occasion, he said that after cleaning the waste, a beautiful park would be built on the spot.
He was taken to the previous government for failing to properly use the AMRUT and Swachh Bharat schemes and sanctioned the funds under them. “Our government uses the optimal use of these two schemes,” he added.
Mr. Venkateswara Prasad said that the previous government had left two lakh tons of waste in the landfill yard, and the NDA government has solved a problem that has been waiting over the last 30 years.
