
Amberpet police arrested two men for their involvement in the murder of a man whose body was discovered on the Greek Musi near the GHMC backyard in Amberpet 21.
According to Amberpet police officer, men were arrested as Mohammed Jawaid, 27, a brand worker who lives in uppal, and MD Amirul Haque of Boduppal. Both are originally from the Darbhang district in Bihar.
The case came to light when the police constant on the patrol’s obligation accepted a call about the body lying on the wheels of the river. Officers who arrived in place found a victim, which is assumed to be about 30 to 35 years old, with a cable wire firmly wrap around the neck.
Investigators found that the deceased, later identified as Shorab, previously shared accommodation with Jawaid and his wife Muskan in Boduppal.
“Jawaid was suspected of Shorab’s behavior towards his wife and confronted him, leading to quarrels and threats. After moving, Jawaid confided to Amirula, who also held resentment against Shorab over financial rivalry.
According to their plan on the night of August 19, they lured Shorab under the pretext of drinks and took him to a remote place near Musi’s channel. After the quarrel, he strangled him with a wire before throwing his body.
The arrest was carried out on Monday by Amberpet Police with the help of the East Zone Commissioner Commissioner.
