Vijay will attend NITI Aayog board meeting in Delhi

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is scheduled to attend the 11th meeting of the NITI Aayog Board of Governors chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday.

Sources said Mr. Vijay is scheduled to leave Chennai for New Delhi on a special flight on Wednesday. He is expected to meet some political leaders in Delhi on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the Chief Minister will attend a meeting of the NITI Aayog Council of Governors, whose members include the Chief Ministers of all states and Union Territories and the Governors of Union Territories without legislatures. Mr. Vijay is expected to highlight some of the key issues concerning Tamil Nadu in his speech.

This is the second time Mr. Vijay is visiting the state capital after taking charge as the Chief Minister. During his previous visit to Delhi, Mr Vijay called on Mr Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Chief Minister is expected to arrive in Chennai on Friday.
