On Sunday, cycling rallies were carried out in the city to raise awareness of the negative impact of drug abuse and the necessity avoiding it.
Cyclists’ score was attended by a gathering organized by GSS projects, Maharaja Institute of Technology, Lions International District 317 and other organizations.
Sushrutha Gowda from the Shataveri Gopal Gowda Hospital was characterized by the assembly and expressed concern about the growing threat of drug abuse. He quoted reports, said the number of young people addicted to drugs exceeds several Cror in the country, and some states such as pandjab, haryan, etc., have been seriously affected.
Dr. Gowda drew attention to the intervention of an illegal unit for the production of Mysur, and said it was a dangerous development, and if it is uncontrolled, even Karnataka could join the list of affected states.
Dr. Gowda, who called for a harsh punishment for those who dealt with drugs, proposed amendments to the Act on Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances of 1985 or the NDP Act.
The assembly began from the temple Kote Anjaneyaswamy and went through JC Wadiyar Circle, Chamaraja Double Road, Ramaswamy Circle, JLB Road, City Railway Station, Irwin Road, Ashoka Road and ended at the start.
There were MLA for Krishnaraja TS Srivatsa, former mayor of Sandesh Swamy and others.
