Teachers’ Day celebrated the district administration of Mysur and the Ministry of Public Instructions here on Saturday and retirement teachers were charged on this occasion.
The award of the best teachers at the district level was also awarded the authorities as recognition of teachers’ efforts.
Vivekananda, MLC, guaranteed the working conditions of teachers and stated that no meetings had been carried out in schools and universities.
“Most schools have a handful of teachers,” said Mr. Vivekananda, stressing that 1.5 lakh teachers were unoccupied in the state. “How can or nation develop if education has not reached meaning?” He asked.
The current practice is to appoint temporary teachers and pay them 12,000 GBP per month, because many of them have exceeded the age limit to qualify for recruitment, as they are on retirement, Mr. Vivekananda said.
Just as farmers are important for the feeding of the nation, teachers are important for providing education without which development was not possible, MLC said. There are teachers who have not received any promotion, although they have provided for 25 years of service, he added.
Tanvir Sait, the MLA, who chaired the event, said that education should not be interpreted to mean the evaluation of high grades, but should enable the comprehensive development of students.
Mr. Sait also called for education outside politics and administrative systems and said that it should be an instrument that would drive humanity and allow the holistic development of individuals.
He said that the ideology of the government should not be reflected in textbooks and that the curriculum should be revised through committees established for this purpose.
Mr. Sait, who called on further investment in the education sector, said he had issued a notice during his work, that it was obliged to spend at least 30% of infrastructure repair and the creation of new equipment.
The directors and officials of the education block were invited to put their requirements before the legislators to overcome the infrastructure restrictions, said the MLA and noted that they did not come with problems. As a result, many educational institutions continue to disappear without basic infrastructure, he added.
CN Gowda, MLC, said the government was informed about the imperatives to occupy unoccupied places in the educational department and would be taken over after the reservation.
Javare Gowd, Deputy Director of Public Instructions; KB of some Gowda, President of the Association of District Teachers; And others were present.
