
The Hyderabad District Administration referred to the preventive detention Act against Lakhan Singh of Dooolpet, which is accused of operating the wholesale trade Ganja, and faces more than 30 cases in various police and consumer stations.
According to officials, Singh maintained connection with the main entrepreneurs involved in the Ganja cultivation and offer in Odisha. Reportedly transported shipments from 25 to 100 kilograms from Odisha to Dhoolpet, where narcotics were distributed to local traders.
Over the past eight months, Singh has been arrested three times by heavy stresss of 25 kg, 27 kg and 26 kg Ganja team of the State Working Group (STF) Department of Tax and Prohibition. Several other cases of Ganja seizures were reserved at Mangalahat, Dooolpet, Naryanguda and other police stations.
Hyderabad collector Dasari Harichandana approved the detention orders on the recommendation of the director of the prohibition and recovering tax Shanwaz Kasim.
Officials stated that the PD law was necessary with regard to repeated offenses of Singha, despite several arrests of police and consumer bodies.
The PD law was previously invoked on Angoori Bai, a notorious Ganja seller in Dhoolpet, who is currently in prison.
