
A 50-year-old woman in China has shown the proverb “where there is a will, there is a way” after she has reached her dream of joining the Faculty of Law-Navzda to face huge obstacles. A woman known as Yang was strictly burned in a fire that left her scars and limited use of her arms. The accident also forced her to end her career and led to a period of depression.
Yang wanted to launch a “new way” in her life and decided two years ago to prepare for the entrance exams after her son could not clean the same test.
“No matter what phase of your life, you should never give up your dream,” said Yang The South China Morning Post.

Who is Yang?
Yang, a graduate of chemistry from the 90s at the University of Tongji in Shanghai, lives in the Shandong province in Jince. Yang had long dreamed of gaining a master’s degree, and when her son could not pass the entrance exam, she took it to prepare two years ago.
What happened on the fire?
In 2013, the fire left it with serious burns on his face and arms. Her left arm was completely affected and her right arm retained only partial function. Since the accident, she wore a mask in public, which covered serious scarring, the report said.
The accident ended her career when she eventually left her work while struggling with depression and post -traumatic stress disorder.
How did she prepare for the exam?
Yang restarted her life by studying from her son’s books. “I took the test while my son took care of me. I’m happy with the conversion of these two roles,” she said.
During the exam she was asked to remove the mask and had to endure shocked reactions from other students – but that did not prevent her from their dream.
How does she see her “retirement”?
“Retirement for some people is a square dance or travel. My retirement life is studying. It will be amazing,” Yang said.
What was the result of her efforts?
In July, she finally received a reception letter from the postgraduate school of the Southwest University of Forestry in Kunming in Yunnan Province.
