US President Donald Trump is going to participate in the US Open finals on Sunday as a client’s guest and will follow the match from the set of this client, the US Tennis Association spokesman said on Friday, as AP said.

Usta did not identify which client Trump would be a guest. Since 2015 he has been set up as Trump’s first performance at the Grand Slam tournament in New York.
“I think … It’s a privilege for tournaments that have a president from every country just to support the tournament, support tennis and support the match,” Alcaraz said on Friday.

“For me, I play before him … I’ll try not to think about it. I don’t want me to be nervous because of it, but I think you know, participating in a tennis match, it’s great to be tennis (V) finals.”
The last sitting president, attending a tennis Grand Slam in New York – and the first in history to come to the Open US Open – was Democrat Bill Clinton, who watched the women’s finals in 2000.
Carlos Alcaraz said he was constantly learning how to maintain the highest form after Novak Djokovic defeated in direct sets on Friday to achieve his second US Open final.
22-year-old Spaniard secured 6-4, 7-6 (7/4), 6-2 victories over 24-time Grand Slam champion, which meant his third straight final performance Grand Slam. Alcaraz has now won 45 of his last 47 games and has reached the final in eight consecutive tournaments since his victory in Monte Carlo in April.
This is the first time since 2017, when Djokovic did not reach the final of the Grand Slam.
His departure also means that it is the first season since 2002, when one of Djokovice, Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer did not reach Major’s finals.
“I lost three out of four bangs in the semifinals against these boys (Alcaraz and Sinner), so they are just too good, you know, playing really high,” said Djokovic, as AFP says.
