Inter Miami Forward Luis Suarez received a 6-game league for its antiquity last week. The Leagues Cup organizational committee gave SUAREZ a steep suspension for saving the SEATTLE Sounders employee.
The incident occurred at the end of the final 1st September when both teams after winning 3-0 against Inter Miami got to Melee. Scuffle saw Suarez spit at one of the coaches and Sergio Busquets thrust at one of the opposition players.
The Leagues Cup gave Busquets suspension for two games and Miami Defender Tomas Aviles three games for their aggressive behavior in Melee. And the assistant coach Sounders Steven Lenhart was reported after the similarity for the violent behavior of the suspension of five games.
These suspension include only future participation in the Leagues Cup, in the middle of the MLS team and the League MX, which have just closed their fifth edition.
As for the Major League Soccer, the League Cup Committee noted in its statement that MLS “reserves the right to store further disciplinary steps on the player and the coaching staff”.
It is not clear whether MLS will do so. Inter Miami is scheduled to host Sounders 16 September.
Earlier Thursday, Suarez apologized for his behavior in social media.
“It was a moment of great tension and frustration, where things did not happen just after the game, but it does not justify my reaction,” he wrote partly.
“I made a mistake and honestly apologized. It’s not a picture I want to put in front of my family that suffers because of my mistakes, in front
“I feel bad for what happened, and I didn’t want to go through the opportunity to get to know and apologize to all who felt bad for what I did. We know there is a lot of season left and we will work together to try to get the triumphs that this club and his fans deserve.”
Suarez, 38 -year -old Uruguayan, who once played for Liverpool and Barcelona, has a history of poor behavior in the field. He was suspended three times for biting opponents and was once suspended for racial abuse, even if he denied the accusations.
Suarez has six goals and 10 assists in 22 MLS games this season and added three goals and three assists in six Leagues Cup matches.
