
The University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore (UAS-B) stands in 11th place among a total of 75 institutes of higher education and research in agriculture and allied sectors in the country under the National Institutional Last ranking.
While UAS-B, the oldest agricultural university in the State, is included in 11thnatically, the highest state is among agricultural, horticultural and veterinary universities and research institutes. Karnataka has a total of seven universities in agriculture and allied sectors.
University of Agricultural Sciences-Dharwad, which was included in 35 at national level, is the only other Agricultural University of Karnataka to appear in the list that identified the 30 best institutes. Although the state has the killing of the ICAR research institutes in the gardening, veterinary and entomology sectors, none of them recorded on the list of the 30 best institutes of the country.
For Uas-B it was status quo because it was in 11th place in the previous ranking. By the way, this year, UAS-B ensured the evaluation of A+ from the National Council for Evaluation and Accreditation (NAAC).
SvěSha vice -chairman said that the evaluation was a sign of effective work of the university in the field of research, education and extension. He told the Hinds that the score of the university cards this time improved compared to the previous year, even though the ranking remained the same.
