India suspends Starlink approval over security concerns over use in conflict with Iran: Report | Today’s news

India has frozen approval for Starlink, Elon Musk’s space internet service, to start operations in the country because of concerns about its use of its satellite terminals in the Iran war, according to Bloomberg.

Final clearances for Starlink have been denied by central government security agencies, a report revealed. The concern stems from the fact that Starlink terminals were used in the conflict between the US-Israel combine and Iran. New Delhi now fears there could be problems with its ability to control the US-based internet operator at a time of geopolitical tensions. This comes after reports that Starlink terminals were being used in the Middle East conflict despite the company not being licensed to operate in Iran.

This is a developing story. Check back later for more updates.
