The Minister of Food and Civic Deliveries GR Anil assured that urgent measures were taken to resolve waiting fees for unpeeed farmers in the state.
Paddy worth 1,645 Crore was obtained from 2,07,143 farmers throughout the state during the 2024-25 season. Of this, the amount of 1,399 GBP has already been paid. The remaining CRORE 246 GBP, which is caused by 10,568 farmers, must still be paid.
In his statement, the Minister explained that although the state government sanctioned another CRORE 113 GBP for unpeeled contracts, delay in receiving the MSP component (minimum support price) from the center caused pending payments.
Mr. Anil added that the central government has now approved claims related to the MSPs for April, May and June. Paddy farm fees will be credited to their accounts on weekdays immediately after the holidays, he said.
