The director of the KS Institute Ravindranath said that the campaign will use YouTube, Facebook and Instagram to educate people for timely detection, risk factors and preventive measures for heart health.
“Cases of heart attack grow between younger populations, and 30 heart patients receive daily at our institute.
Non -transferable diseases (NCDs) have become a major global threat, which is 60% to 70% of deaths, of which 25% to 30% are caused by heart attacks and strokes.
Dr. Ravindranath said that the project of premature coronary arteries (PCAD) in Jayadev – under which more than 5,000 patients under 40 years of age were included – revealed new risk factors in young patients, including abnormal lipoproteins, insulin resistance and Homo -cysteine levels.
“Lifestyle habits such as smoking, tobacco use, excessive alcohol consumption, sedentary routines, unhealthy high -fat diet and carbohydrates and sweet drinks are the main contributors. He added growing obesity, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, stress, pollution and family history.
